I would like to finish this section with three quotes—one from the pioneers, one from the Spirit of Prophecy, and one from the Bible. The first one, from Uriah Smith, is his concluding paragraph in a chapter discussing a controverted subject. I am not saying that it applies to every single individual that has gotten caught up in the message of the New World Order. But I do believe that it is by far the number one need, and the number one answer, not only for those who have gotten caught up in the New World Order, but for every other individual that Satan has been able to “distract from the all-important subjects that should arrest every mind.” The second quote, the one from the Spirit of Prophecy, is where those last words, “the all-important subjects that should arrest every mind,” were taken from. I hope to point out some of those “all-important subjects” in Part 3. The last quote, the one from the Bible, seemed like a perfect ending for this section.
“But some one may still say, I cannot see it so. Let us tell you, friend, what you need to cause you to see it: not stronger logic, nor clearer argument, nor a greater amount of testimony; but a loving, obedient, loyal heart, which says to the Lord, Speak, for thy servant heareth; show me the way, and I will walk therein, however heavy the cross or great the sacrifice.” {Synopsis of the Present Truth 271}
“The end is near, and now is the time when Satan will make special efforts to distract the interest and separate it from the all-important subjects that should arrest every mind to concentrated action.” {3 Selected Messages 23,24}
“Thus saith the LORD…ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” {Jeremiah 6:16}
