Part 2 – Introduction

This part I very much look forward to writing. I believe it will not only shed much valuable light on this subject, but will also bring to the attention of God’s people counsel from the Spirit of Prophecy that I’m afraid has gone almost entirely unnoticed. I know that for me personally, having to do the research necessary to enable me to write this part has been a wonderful blessing. I pray that this part will not only help you to arrive at a correct understanding of the relationship of the message warning us about the New World Order to true, historic Adventism; but that it will also open your mind to a source of light and blessing that has been almost entirely lost sight of.

I finished Part 1 with the quote—“We must follow the directions given through the Spirit of prophecy.” {Gospel Workers 308} Here are some of those directions:

“God has given me light regarding our periodicals. What is it?—He has said that the dead are to speak. How?—Their works shall follow them. We are to repeat the words of the pioneers in our work, who knew what it cost to search for the truth as for hidden treasure, and who labored to lay the foundation of our work. They moved forward step by step under the influence of the Spirit of God. One by one these pioneers are passing away. The word given me is, Let that which these men have written in the past be reproduced.”  {Counsels to Writers 28}

 “A few are still alive who passed through the experience gained in the establishment of this truth. God has graciously spared their lives to repeat and repeat till the close of their lives, the experience through which they passed even as did John the apostle till the very close of his life. And the standard-bearers who have fallen in death, are to speak through the reprinting of their writings. I am instructed that thus their voices are to be heard. They are to bear their testimony as to what constitutes the truth for this time.”  {Counsels to Writers 32}

Although none of them were perfect, and none of them were infallible, I believe we can be absolutely certain that the men who worked side-by-side with Ellen White for decades upon decades, and whom she clearly tells us were used of God, knew perfectly well what always has been, still is, and always will be, the true Seventh-day Adventist message.

Let those inspired words, those words that are “in truth, the word of God” {1 Thessalonians 2:13}, those words that are in truth, “the testimony of Jesus” {Revelation 19:10}, be written deep in our hearts:

 “[The pioneers]…are to bear their testimony as to what constitutes the truth for this time.”  {Counsels to Writers 32}

The first three books, I selected because of their titles, as well as their authors—“Bible Adventism” by James White; “Synopsis of the Present Truth” by Uriah Smith; and “The Great Second Advent Movement—Its Rise and Progress” by J.N. Loughborough. The fourth book I felt also deserved to be included—“The Story of the Seer of Patmos” by Stephen Haskell. All four were ‘pioneers in the work’. And of every one of these four men, the Spirit of Prophecy specifically tells us they “are to speak through the reprinting of their writings.”

I believe it is not only fair, but essential, to ask and attempt to answer the question—Where, in the writings of these pioneers, or any of the other great pioneers for that matter, is to be found the message warning us about the coming New World Order?

I want to point out one critical fact before beginning; a fact that I’m sure very many of you are already aware of. Try to keep it in mind as you read through this section. The roots of the supposed New World Order, and the key elements that are supposedly working behind the scenes to bring in the New World Order, such as the Illuminati, the Free Masons, and the Jesuits, date back far before these men and their books:

 “While most sources placed the official birth of Freemasonry at 1717, Masonic references clearly indicated that the organization’s history went back much further than this…The Masonic historian, Albert G. Mackey, describes the Illuminati as a secret society, founded on May 1, 1776…”  {Gary Kah—“En Route to Global Occupation” pgs. 94 & 107}
