For me, there is one quote that always comes to mind when I think of Seventh-day Adventists turning to the teachings of men like the ones in this study. I’ll immediately follow that quote with a second:
“If God has any new light to communicate, He will let His chosen and beloved understand it, without their going to have their minds enlightened by hearing those who are in darkness and error.
“I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors.” {Early Writings 124}
“We must follow the directions given through the Spirit of prophecy…If we disregard them, what excuse can we offer?” {Gospel Workers 308}
I want to repeat what I said at the beginning of this part—I believe with all my heart that Parts II & III are infinitely more important and infinitely more blessed than this part. I pray that they will be as the bread of life to your souls, and lead you in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
