Once again, I would like to begin with a Spirit of Prophecy quote. And, once again, I believe it has an immense bearing on this whole question of the New World Order. (This is one of those quotes that should be written deep in the hearts of all true Seventh-day Adventists.)
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.
“The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work.” {9 Testimonies 19}
We are told, in very clear words—“The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work.”
We are also told, in just as clear words, what are “these truths, the proclamation of which is to be our work”:
“They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages.”
Once again, as with The Great Controversy, the obvious and all-important question becomes—Where, in all that Ellen White has written describing and proclaiming the first, second, and third angels’ messages, is to be found this extremely important (?) warning concerning the New World Order?
I have tried to read everything I could find in her writings concerning the first, second, and third angels’ messages. One thing is for certain—all of these almost endless conspiracy-theories that go to make up the message warning us about the New World Order are simply not there.
I beg of you, please, go to the writings of Ellen White and read everything you can find concerning the first, second, and third angels’ messages. If the message warning us about the New World Order isn’t there, then accept the fact that it’s not there because it’s not a part of the three angels’ messages, which she tells us is “the last warning for a perishing world.” And if it’s not a part of the three angels’ messages, then it’s not a part of the true Seventh-day Adventist message.
There’s another sentence in that quote that I can’t help but think sheds a very bad light on those who are really into the New World Order. I want to repeat the entire paragraph so that you can read the sentence in its context. I’ll italicize the sentence:
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.” {9 Testimonies 19}
This is precisely what happens with the greater share of those who really get involved with the message of the New World Order.
