Fulcrum7 Succumbs to Cancel Culture
Fulcrum7, known as a Conservative Seventh-day Adventist discussion forum, has set itself out there, as a Champion on the RIGHT. They have made it their mission to expose the LEFT, warring against “Cancel Culture“, Social Justice Warriors and especially, Women’s Ordination.
I understand and agree that forums need to have rules and those who are posting need to follow those rules. I also believe it is common courtesy that if a rule is broken, the poster should be notified as to where he/she broke whatever rule they broke and they should receive a warning. That is the procedure Fulcrum7 says they follow ~
“If a commenter repeatedly violates our policy, he or she will receive a warning that they are in danger of being banned from the site. If the commenter continues to violate our policy, they will be banned. Email subscriptions are not affected by commenting status and banned commenters will continue to receive online updates for as long as they wish.”
But That Isn’t What They Actually Do ~
I never received one personal warning. It is true, they gave a general warning on the Conrad Vine article to those who were making posts that Conrad Vine was not on the side of Pro-Life, that if any more such posts were made, those Posters would be buried. And they proceeded to remove all the posts I and others had made on that article, never refuting them, just removing them. That was back in January, 2022. After that, I didn’t make any more posts on any articles. This morning, 5 months later, I went to make a post on an article, only to find out that I had been BANNED.
So, if you are a Conservative SDA, who tries hard to follow the counsel we’ve been given in the writings of Ellen White, don’t take it for granted that you will be welcome on Fulcrum7. F7 will like your posts, if you are in harmony with them. But if you have the backbone to speak what you believe to be the TRUTH, even though it’s not popular, and you are not afraid to rock the boat…you may wear out your welcome before you think!
What I Believe Was the REAL REASON I Was Banned ~
I believe that the REAL REASON I was banned is because I’m not a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Years ago, I had my name removed from the Church Roll, as I cannot condone the worldliness and the outright sin that is taking place within the system (not to mention the stand the Church has taken on Abortion for the last 5+ Decades!). The way I see it is this ~ THE CHURCH LEFT ME….I DIDN’T LEAVE THE CHURCH. I LOVE the writings of Ellen White and I live and I’ll die by them. I still believe the same 28 Fundamental Doctrines, I’m not in to any off-shoot crazy teachings. The Church is the one that has changed, not me. Most people ignore the many statements that say that God is no respecter of persons such as this one ~
“The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life, He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles.God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach Manuscript 33, April 27, 1903.
If you are not a member of the Church, you may as well have Leprosy. I know. I have experienced this for the better part of 40 years. That is OK. They saw Jesus and John the Baptist as “outsiders”, too….I think I’m in pretty good company. :).
CANCEL CULTURE Is Alive and Well On Fulcrum7!
It’s pretty amazing….I am not theologically in harmony with the liberal, left-leaning SPECTRUM site, at all….but they never BANNED me even though I strongly disagreed with them. Leave it to the Conservatives to do that! In fact, SPECTRUM even posted an article I wrote for them. F7 would never consider that! Yes, Cancel Culture is Alive and Well Within Conservative Adventism. This is just a little taste of what the future holds for those of us who will be faithful to the TRUTH.
